Kappa Mu Chapter, Johns Hopkins University

Why Rush APO?

Why Rush APO?

Alpha Phi Omega is a national coeducational service organization founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. It provides members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, and to the nation. APO continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization. We are nationally recognized and well-respected by employers and professional/graduate schools.

Since 1998, Kappa Mu has had a profound impact on the Baltimore community. Collectively, we perform 5000 hours of community service each semester and performed 1000 hours of virtual community service in the Fall of 2020. Our service is spread out over various types of projects and topics, and we pride ourselves on how much we appreciate and give back to the Baltimore community.

While cultivating a spirit of service, members cultivate a sense of community amongst each other. This is why we are able to form lifelong friendships among our brothers who have a huge array of social events to attend each semester.

On top of this, APO provides 30+ leadership positions and 70+ committee positions for our brothers, organizes leadership workshops, and allows every brother to coordinate service or fellowship events. We are well-versed in acting as campus and community leaders.

If any or all of this sounds appealing to you, we kindly invite you to consider rushing APO!
